The Grey Dog

After lunch, we started making our way south towards Chelsea. Since I need a fairly steady stream of coffee, we had to make yet another pit stop, and the Grey Dog looked perfect. It is nestled right in the middle of a bunch of row houses, and this is the type of area that we both really love. Really cool vibe, great neighborhood feel, dog treats waiting at the door for your four-legged friends, and overall, just a really cool place.
The neighborhood

Greenest boulevards since the area around Central Park
Since we were on the go and in the "exploration zone," we each just ordered drinks.  We got a dark roast coffee and an iced tea. Like a lot of good coffee shops, they were both good. The staff wasn't really friendly, but since we liked the place so much, we just attribute it to how busy they were.

We will most definately stop here again on our next NYC trip, and it would be great to try some of their food and have more time to sit and relax. It is really just a neat place. Definately the kind of unique, neighborhood shop that is slightly off the beaten path, (at least of most tourists) but looks like it is frequented by lots of the locals. Check it out, and bring your dog.
